BACKGROUND OF CDD DESIGNATION Digital imagery is an ever increasing and integral part of a Real Estate Agents job. In today’s competitive and challenging real estate market its more important than ever for Agents to be able to demonstrate technical proficiency in digital image creation, enhancement and manipulation. An Agent’s ability to effectively use digital tools to address buyer objections is critical and can mean the difference between a showing and a sale. Similarly, an Agent needs to be able to convince seller’s that they have the skills to convince buyers to consider the home owners property. As most agents know its imperative to be able to differentiate themselves from the rest of the field. Agent’s who don’t have the apprpriate digital skills to address buyer objections or concerns risk losing potential buyers. The Certified Digital Designer (CDD) designation dramatically highlights the holder’s capabilities in this vital area. The designation singles out the holder as someone who has the skills that customers and clients need. Pointing out the designation on your business card is the perfect opener to explain to sellers how you provide an entirely different level of service than your competition.   REQUIREMENTS The successful candidate must acquire “Curb Appeal” software and attend a 2 hour interactive Webinar which covers the critical steps in digital image alteration. Covered as part of the Webinar are many tips and techniques that are not part of the standard Curb Appeal documentation. In addition, the Webinar is interactive meaning that users can get all their questions answered. The candidate must demonstrate the skills necessary to: correct basic flaws in existing images; use software to enhance images; and be able to significantly alter images using “Curb Appeal”. The candidate will be provided with two "before" images that require them to significantly alter the properties and submit the alterations to RepTech. The images chosen will demonstrate an understanding and capability in both creative content and the use of advanced image alteration software.   OBJECTIVES OF CDD TRAINING At the end of this course, CDD professionals will be able to: ·        Apply skills to compose and create outstanding digital images. ·        Use software tools to enhance existing digital images. ·        Create marketing materials that address buyer concerns and effectively sell listings. ·        Demonstrate the skills necessary to significantly alter homes using advanced software. USE OF CDD DESIGNATION Candidates awarded the CDD designation are allowed to use the logo and “CDD” on business cards, marketing materials and for other promotional items. All successful candidates will be registered on the national database which is available for scrutiny by the public. RECEIPT OF CERTIFICATE Once digital images have been reviewed and approved, the candidate will receive an email and a certificate in the mail denoting the award of the designation. COST The cost for the CDD designation, including Webinar training, support, image analysis and feedback and certificate production and recording is $199.
